Information on the mandatory recording of guests' personal data
We hereby inform you that, in accordance with the applicable laws*, after September 1, 2021, all guests using accommodation services in Hungary are required to record their legally defined personal data through the accommodation provider's document reader, in the accommodation management software, and then transfer them to a storage location, the Guest Information Closed Database (VIZA).
The data to be recorded:
family and first name
family and first name at birth
place of birth
date of birth
guest's gender
citizenship
mother's family and first name at birth (if included in the identification document)
identification data of the identity card or travel document
in the case of a third-country national**, the visa or residence permit number, date and place of entry.
To record the data, the guest using the accommodation service shall present his/her identification card, driving license or travel document to the accommodation service provider. If the document is not presented, the accommodation service provider shall refuse to provide the accommodation service. Based on the authorization of the law, the accommodation service provider is entitled to request the guest's identification document, and the guest is obliged to present it.
Please check before traveling that you have the necessary photo IDs to use our services!
In the case of children under the age of 14, the presentation of the ID will be mandatory from June 1, 2022.
